We visited Misty and Jacob on Tuesday morning, the day after he was born. They came home that night after the girls were sound asleep. Sabrina is the ideal big sister willing to hold him as long as she is allowed. They are settling in quite well with the new addition. This week Greg will return to his usual schedule of long days at school, with the addition of Mutual on his one early night in the week.
Saturday we drove to Madison, Georgia, one of the few places in GA that General Sherman spared in the burning of towns during the Civil War. We drove past elegant old antebellum homes, then stopped to eat lunch at Blue Willow Inn specializing in Southern comfort food. Yum.Love, Hunnygrams

I am in Watkinsville, Georgia staying with Sabrina and Clara while Greg and Misty are at the hospital waiting for Jacob to make his appearance. It feels like I am in Logan or Orem not 1500 miles away from home. Their apartment has a look much the same as their home in Orem. Out the windows and just about 25 feet away is a forest of trees, and although Misty laments that it isn't a beautiful time of year, plus they are in a drought, there is still much greenery -- of various pine and evergreen trees. It feel like being in Timberlakes. Because they live "in the sticks" as she calls it, each dwelling place is surrounded by a lot of land -- giving a feel of rural living. Driving past University of Georgia yesterday and around Athens, we passed pink flowering trees, daffodils, pansies and red berry bushes and some with red flowers. I can't imagine what it will be like when spring really comes. Last week 70 degree weather, but this week 50's. With the humidity that makes it rather chilly. Maybe next week it will warm up, and a little more spring will come before I leave.

Remember Grandma 1 year later

Hello My Dear loved ones!

So I am remember Grandma early on a sunday morning. I am thinking of the huge snow storm. Playing in the snow with every one and their kids. I decided to write a memory of Grandma here and see if anyone else wanted to share also.

Char and I share memories of Grandma alot. She of course thinks of Grandma all the time. I am remembering right now cleaning out the storage room with Grandma on a Sat. We had lunch. We had like the tradition of peaches, cheese sandwhiches, and juice. Also I think playing games with Grandma was more one on one attention then most kids ever get. My kids never get that any more except maybe Emily. Okay sometimes. So all I am remember is little things. I put one on my blog.

When I was little we watched movies all the time. Char, Carl, Tina and I would sit in the pit with Grandma. We probably watched ice castles a thousand times. Maybe not quite that much. But we all watched Shirley Temple. Did you David?

And the swing. Love the swing. Walking around the ward. The weeblos wooble tree house. Did you get to play with that? See now I miss Tina. The puzzle grass has to be one of my favorites. I put that on her grave occassionally.
